Farenhiet 451 DANGERS

After over fifty years I believe that Bradbury could secretly see into the future to what electronic changes would come. He was right that America would struggle with the ability of critical thinking. I mean look at the things that are coming out right now. We don’t need paper books anymore now you have the advantage of an electronic book that can download what you would like to read. Bradbury has a point to make in trying to change how we view his book. He states that the death of reading is more important than the imposition of censorship. Censorship news  is taken to a new level with Bradbury and this book. The depth the author has now and even had at the time of writing this book.
Bradbury has a right to point to the additional messages and meanings of his work. His work is understood beyond even his own knowledge. If he would have only know the intent of what he was writing about would be the exact truth. The generations or scholars, teachers and readers are not wrong when they focus on the overarching role of censorship by the government in the novel. Bradbury uses different ways to point out additional messages and meanings of his work. In very important ways the way the work is understood beyond the author’s own intent is valid. In his writing his texts are documents with different generations to read it. We are all different but we somehow can manage to understand the text into our own lives and experiences.
Personally, I don’t see there being a time when authorities can have a right to burn books for our own good. Hopefully there are people out there with a strong emotional reaction to burning of books. It could also create to a meaning of peoples reactions to the burning of the flag or even a dollar bill. Part of me understand that it is just a symbol, writing on paper, and that there are many copies of most books. Reading needs to be valued as when it first started. Houghton Mifflen Learning Reading is a huge part of our past as a nation and where we can look back to find the most important information.
Television and the internet has destroyed America’s ability to think for ourselves. It’s rather disturbing that 75% of TV’s are on during dinner time. We go to these sources for entertainment and information. People allow themselves to get caught up in others point of view because they have that opportunity to not think for themselves.  Now days it seems that we have to adapt to a new advancement in technology everyday. Technology producing decline for critical thinking, learners have changed as a result of their exposure to technology, says Greenfield, who analyzed more than 50 studies on learning and technology, including research on multi-tasking and the use of computers, the Internet and video games.
Ray Bradbury is welcome to add to the discussion of his work, to provide information for his intent in writing it, to explain his understanding of the most important message it contains. We, as readers, should listen to his thoughts on the book. But his comments are not definitive, rather are part of a dialog between author and reader. Just as he brought his experience and understanding of the world to the writing of the book, we must bring our own experience and understanding of the world to the reading of it. Fahrenheit 451 may not be about censorship, but drawing the lesson from it that censorship is to be avoided is completely legitimate.

Reasoning Skills In Primary School

Easily saying a lot of how you learn is practiced in primary school. That’s where you can learn how to focus and your motivations. In primary school you will learn your basics of writing, math and reading. If you have challenges catching it then that will affect you for a long time after that. It’s important that students are getting good grades in primary school. Attending primary school they start to get the skills early on, so they can practice through out. Although it is not the most important time to understand your skills, it is in fact a very crucial time to acquire them.
Reasoning is the most important skill in critical thinking, because it helps you to better understand explanations and arguments, therefore elevating your ability to better predict logical outcomes. You don’t have the ability to predict something if you don’t have the reason. It’s important to know how things happen and why. For primary school students they need to be practicing these early on to understand what they need to. Reasoning shows them options. They can weigh out their good options with their bad. This will give them the ability to realize they have their own decision making.
Reasoning skills should be taught in primary schools so kids can understand the opportunity’s they have. It is also a important for critical thinking skills because it allows them to see two sides of the opinion. To have the students sit down and right for ten minutes constantly on a certain topic would stretch their abilities. For kids this age they need to be taught that there is more than one way for a situation to go. They also need to understand that all things do have a reason to them. Not only will this help their writing skills, but their logic skills.
If students do have the correct reasoning skills they can learn how to interpret different types of information. Some might look into a big text and the first thing that comes to their mind is they can’t understand it. With reasoning skills they will be able to grasp the form of the text. This skill will help them dig deeper into their minds and the format of what they’re reading. One important assignment I know of in primary schools is the yearly science experiments. Students have to create a hypothesis and then prove it. Also recording the activity that happens during this amount of time. Reasoning is huge part of that because of what it is challenging them to understand.
Problem solving is critical thinking, and does need reasoning. You can’t understand how to reason on your own or what good it will do for you. If reasoning skills are demonstrated to primary schools they will be able to write better papers and understand all materials. Reasoning is like the operation of being able to understand things to your own knowledge. To have reasoning skills be practiced in primary schools I think is a high advantage to kids that age. The students will enhance learning, listening and writing skills. They will more importantly have the ability to understand logic.

Patriotic Spending

Given that the U.S. economy is based on consumer spending, is patriotic to shop?

When holidays come around what is the most advertisements we see on TV? Yes clothing, electronics and appliances with the latest deals you can easily seal. Seems as if people are being bribed to have the best TV’s before football season starts. Even though we are going through a tough economic time it is very easy now more then ever to spend money. Stores are willing to have big sales and do anything for you to come in and shop. You can sign up for cards where you are being rewarded by coupons and more deals. It is very patriotic to go shopping now days.
The deals you can get right now are priceless shopping deals for the family. People are falling in love with fashion as well as the deals going on with it. People do have the urge right now to go and contribute to the economy. I think it’s important for people to see how they can help out in their ways. Yes that is going out and shopping but also spending money keeping things flowing.
The reason shopping is turning into being so patriotic is because there is no other reason to go out and spend money right now. So they have made this theme for it such as, “go out and buy football t-shirts for the big football season”. Also  black Friday the biggest shopping day of the year, that is advertised for at least two months. One of the  most common things to go out and do surround shopping with your family and during the biggest holiday of the year. Besides that is an easy way to keep the whole family with something to do.
Advertisements follow year round to what is happening around the world next. What is a better way but to follow holidays. Everyone usually wants something new around then to. Word will spread around about the great things one store has compared to another. It is easy to have the latest items while making yourself happy with indulging.
Right now in this culture I do think it is very patriotic to shop. It’s something cliché everyone can go out and do. Money is tight and when we do have it people want to spend it using how ever much of it they can. I think it is our way of showing what we are able to own.
